New 959 To Have A Longer Stroke For More Torque

  1. I can't wait, my bike is painfully gutless ;-)

Personally I think they will go with a bigger Bore, and put in bigger valves as the valve sizes aren't 'massive' for the size of the engine, and it's a trick they did with the 848 to 848 Evo, they didn't 'stroke' that engine either. bigger bore and bigger valves will do that without having to lower the rev ceiling

  2. So it's a 1299 crank in 899 cylinders - a long stroke 899/small bore 1299? If so then true Ducati style of mixing/matching within the range, hence the 853/944/955 etc. displacements of previous models.

  3. I agree. My 899 is a bag of knackers now :(

Small manufacturers of anything use the commonality and interchangeability of parts to achieve different looks/performance criteria. It's the easiest way to do some pretty smart stuff.

I've replaced my 899 with this. Safer and more midrange.

  5. Your tyres look to have squared off a fair bit, Diablo rosso's?

  6. No steering damper?? You Maverick!!!!!!!!
