Your car doesn't go from idle to 6k+ revs though within minutes! I just let mine warm up for 45-60 seconds
Is there an oil temp read out? I thought it was only water temp? Either way, I give it several miles before going above 6k revs. I've been told oil takes this long before getting to running temp. That way I'm also happy that internals have warmed up and expanded, then it's time to get spanktastic!
