I agree. I have no beef with Rossi, he's been the best thing to happen to motorcycle sport in my lifetime. However I believe there is the public face and the real face of the man, as I posted at the start of this thread. I'm amazed that people can try and defend his actions today. Yes Marquez was p*ssing him off, but he snapped.
Well, where do I start with that gem? So Dorna and the race stewards decided to put Rossi at the back of the grid in Valencia to placate Huewen & Ryder? They don't think he caused Marquez to fall, but punished him anyway. Who are the people in the know? You?

Ignoring all the cogitation for a minute, does anyone else feel like the level stepped up massively in the last 3 races and just how amazing it has been? I'm sure I'm not imagining it. Rossi finding form in the dry and taking a pole, Marquez having to mature somewhat and ride around a flaky machine, Jorge getting back into his corner speed groove, Peds' storming final quarter - It seems everyone at Alien level has raised their game with the Aliens in waiting (Mav and Crazy Joe) doing the same. Then there's the hardware. Ducati coming back from a lacklustre mid season, the mighty morphin HRC pulling their fingers out after a humdrum and erratic year, Suzuki working hard and reaping the benefits, Pramac putting in the effort. The latter two made Cal and the Tech3 pair look stupid all year. Thinking back to the immensely dull periods the sport has suffered on occasion (Doohan/Criville procession borefest comes to mind), the premier class really has been the premier class this year.

This i agree with, sometimes I find Keith Huewen fairly likable when he commentates, however there are times when he comes across like an arrogant bully who because he's been a racer expects Jules to just shut up and tow the line. I wouldn't miss him from the team let me put it that way

I'm struggling to understand what the points on the license are for. They say it's for riding in a way that causes danger to other riders if I've managed to sift through the info properly... So is it because he slowed and didn't make the turn? everything after MM drives his head into VR's knee seems explicable and not the focus of the penalty awarded..... So is VR being done for not riding through without looking back??? Does he get to ride in qualifying sessions? What will his tactics be now then? Surely he just needs to get in JL's way..... A lot.....
