  1. Just took delivery of a yellow 748s advertised on this board yesterday evening. Lovely bike and gratitude to Growler who delivered it to me!

Other bike is a VTR SP2 last of the line (Black), which is also a twin, looking quite fat next to the 748!

The VTR is a much maligned bike in my opinion, very capable bike, here's hoping the 748's as good.

First impression is the 748 is completely gutless, but I knew it would be prior to purchasing it.

Will give it a good run tomorrow morning to get a better idea.

    Cheers

  2. Rev it!!

    (Happy new bike!)

  3. Hello and welcome :)

  4. Hi and welcome. I'm sure you'll soon gel with the 748.

  5. nice one ..banchory you say?
i bumble thru there regular after coming off the cairn o mount!...
748 is what i have ! great wee bike ...stick with it..ull love it eventually

  6. Dont get me wrong, not complaining, love the bike for what it is, which is why I bought it! :upyeah: Have just been spoiled with torque monsters like the VTR & 'busa, I guess I need to ride it like a 600!

Banchory, yes, dont really like the Cairn, road surface is cr$p and there are always cars in the middle of the road, and its freezing irrespective of the ambient temperature. Had a massive slapper on the Cairn, Strachan side, where the tree roots had pushed up the road surface a couple of years back.

    Mark, where are you based?

  7. Is the correct answer. Cos that's what it is in essence compared to an IL4

  8. Welcome to the forum buddy, enjoy the new 748, just remember that it is a Ducati twin which takes a bit of getting used to compared to your SP2.

    Cheers

  9. arbroath here ..madg

  10. Welcome

  11. Had a quick run to Braemar at the weekend. Bike is growing on my and actually makes nice useable power, quite a good road tool actually. Didn't find it particularly uncomfortable, about the same as my SP2, could do a 800 mile weekend on it with a box of ibuprofen!

Love the analogue dials, proper bike, side panel off in 15 seconds, nice!!

My brother in law is really pi$$ed as the 748 got a fair bit of attention, my SP2 gets a serious amount of attention and his GSXR gets none!
