Tidied my 6yr olds room. He is away with his Grandmother in Bournemouth for the week so it's nice to have it tidy for a few days at least.
At the risk of sending you all to sleep – had cooked some pork steaks earlier which turned out to be very tough and as not mainly for my consumption I consulted the cooking books as to how to tenderise said tat. Simply cooking in brine was far too easy so I poured in a load of vinegar with a few silvikrin onions, a load of beetroot juice and some beetroot, a diced quarter of a Bramley cooking apple, garlic, lemon juice, salt and water which I replaced repeatedly for about an hour.
