I know it is perhaps a little early to start speculation but, what the hell. This could be the most exciting race ever!! It is a tight and twisty circuit is Valencia, so I wonder how easy it will be to fight through from the back.
Rossi certainly hasn't made it easy for himself. I don't think he'll go down without a fight but it's not going to be easy! Where would he have to finish to grab the title or is it the case that he'd have to be immediately behind Lorenzo?
This. Pedrosa first, Lorenzo second, MM third, Rossi robbed. What a tragic end to such a great season :Banghead:
I think the adudication is final. VR threatening to boycott race is a bluff I think as its still feasible for him to win the championship. If hondas take top steps with Jorge 3rd, VR 6th would be enough. Add to that VR can spend all weekend on race set up which might give him advantage on the day plus the fact he's expert at moving through the field and it could still end up rosy for him. I'm still rooting for Jorge, although after last race Im a bit pissed off with the lot of them. I like a bit of handbags at dawn but VR causing MM to crash was terrible pr for our sport. JL reaction was not good either.
I've heard about Jls reaction but only that you could hear him shouting somewhere. What's actually gone on with him? I wish I hadn't cancelled my BT Sport now! I need to find a pub that's showing the race now!
I don't know of any pub in Taunton that shows MotoGP @MrAliT - let me know if you find one. There is a pub in Exeter that the folk from South West Bikers | Motorcycle Forum • Index page go to. Alternatively if you can avoid the result and wait till Sunday night then you'd be more than welcome to come and watch it at my place ... I'm working in London that weekend so I won't be able to watch it live.
In Moto2 in 2012 Marquez managed to win from starting at the back of the grid. The damp track worked to his advantage on that day as he threw caution to the wind. He'd overtaken 11 riders before he reached the first corner! So it is a track on which it is possible to make good progress from the back of the grid. Unfortunately for Rossi Valencia isn't a track that he tends to go well at. I can't see him finishing higher than 8th, unless it's wet and then all bets are off and we'll have Maverick Vinales winning the race or some other bizarre result. Assuming normal track conditions then of the top riders I think that Pedrosa has the best record at Valencia. Based on his recent form I'll tip him for the win. For me second place will be between Lorenzo and Marquez. I think that Lorenzo will avoid any confrontation and will happily finish 3rd if Marquez is hassling him too much, although Marquez might be happy to finish behind Lorenzo
Its all getting ugly the money men are starting MotoGP News - MotoGP: Repsol slams Rossi for ‘unacceptable, unsportsmanlike conduct’
I've just been informed that we are away for the weekend so I won't be able to watch it live anywhere. Sunday evening might be a good option @Dave!
