Still think that Rossi behaved with a great lack of gumption. When you have a wasp on you, everyone knows that the best thing to do is not to flap your arms about to try to scare it off. That won't work and you stand a good chance of getting stung. What you do is keep still and await your moment to catch it, then dispose of it as you think fit. The wasp must not divine your intentions towards it. Wasps also do what is in their waspy nature - there is little point getting upset at them. People who complain about being harassed by a wasp are also tedious. What do they expect, for the wasp to change its attitude or for others to take care of their wasp problem for them? I think Valentino should have more breakfasts outside in the sun as he still has something to learn about wasps.

Is there a petition anywhere that I may sign to have Rossi disqualified from the final race? Why are all these people signing the petition, did they not see the incident? I thought Rossi would surely be disqualified. As for the final race, methinks the championship is far from concluded. Bearing in mind his attitude has won him 9 World Championships already,I'd put money on him having foreseen a good deal of this hoo-ha and has a game plan,(amongst many) in place to deal with it. He's a bloody clever bloke,he knows how to play the political game,and there'll be plenty of riders,(remember VR46 handles the merchandising for a lot of them,including MM and his younger brother!),who will give him a bit of room to ease his passage to the front. Rossi is the big money draw for Moto GP,if he wins his 10th and retires that particular cash cow will be history,and somehow the vacuum has to be filled. This whole incident might even have been engineered,(unlikely I know,but it just happened to take place r-e-a-l-l-y s-l-o-w-l-y),either to big up the interest in the final showdown,or to make Marquez the fan's big dog for the next few years."poor Marc,Rossi robbed him blahblahblah..." MotoGP is not a sport anymore,it's an entertainment formula,and the big guns know how not to bite the hand that feeds them.
I reckon that the clash would have been avoided had not Rossi deliberately slowed right down in the corner to create it. After that, who knows what really happened. Even Rossi admits he was trying to run Marquez off the track. He doesn't come out of this very well, and the penalty is no doubt deserved. However, for the fun of the final round, it would be good if people let him through to the front so that we could get a final round we the spectators would like to see. I hope that Rossi does win the title, but I don't think he will now. His essential problem is that at this season's end, he isn't fast enough. If he were, he wouldn't have had anything to worry about. Lorenzo is on the same machine but is faster. Not a great deal he can do about that.
