i try not to let nationalities or personalities influence me , if i can support an englishman ( smith ) then i have no prob with an aussie .. eg. great admirer of Stonner
I haven't turned on Marquez because of this.I don't care for him because his riding style in other classes was clearly a danger to other rider, and it continues to be so. Race Direction have largely allowed him to get away with it,and one of the reasons for this incident occurring is because of his riding style.Foe example,he nearly injured three marshals and Cal Crutchlow by ignoring marshals flags at Silverstone, and virtually escaped punishment. Lorenzo's claim that Rossi was let off lightly is laughable, because when Marquez has pulled dangerous stunts in the past,it has been excused: running Lorenzo off-track,taking out Pedrosa etc etc,all conveniently forgotten by the Rossi-haters. Check out the Spanish press:there are many that have changed their mind as to where the blame lies since studying the footage in slo-mo. We all see it differently of course, and interpret each move/gesture/whatever to favour their point of view. What may be clear to you is unclear,or unbelievable,to over half a million people who have watched the same video as you,who have signed a petition saying so,and their view is equally valid. They haven't turned on MM,they see something you don't see,and you don't see what they see One cannot forget Rossi's role in this, and it takes two to tango...(tangle).If Marquez had stayed upright,or continued as he normally does, there would have been a bit of a hoo-ha but it would have faded when Pedrosa crossed the line for an extremely well-deserved victory. If other riders help Rossi,it will not be against the rules, any more than it is if Lorenzo or others help Marquez. If Marquez fucks off into the distance and wins, people will respect him for it. If he deliberately obstructs Rossi,he'll be vilified, and MotoGP/Dorna etc will suffer for it
still the deniers deny,,, there is a world of a difference between helping and deliberately fkng up !!! if people cannot recognise this then they will never understand what really went on...
You're talking about the same twit who disrespected Cechinello by pulling wheelies instead of bothering to qualify, then stuck the bike in the dirt. Hey, he signed up with Mark VDS so fuck LCR right.
I think the vast majority who signed the petition on behalf of Rossi probably only did so as they have a key ring someone bought them in 2002 with VR46 stamped on it. :Wacky:
Good point. Imagine the scene: you are at the Old Bailey sitting on a jury while some defendant is on trial, accused of a serious offence. Various eye witnesses give their testimony, each saying what they saw or what they think they saw. But the witnesses all tell different stories. Some may be lying deliberately. For others it is not that they are lying exactly, rather that their perceptions of what happened at the crime scene vary or their memories are flaky. You as the jury must decide your verdict. This is a difficult and onerous task. Picking through the facts and allegations takes days of effort. The possibility of getting it wrong is a worry. And you are not even paid for doing it. On the other hand you do not have to give any reasons or explanation for your decision.
BUT, at the end of the day, the incident has been a Godsend for Moto Gp. It has not been as exciting for years! The atmosphere at Valencia will be electric. I usually record it and watch it at my leisure but not this one. Remember we also have Moto 3 to be decided. I wonder what size crowd they will pull in at Valencia for the showdown!
They wouldn't be hurting Marquez though, it'd be Lorenzo that suffered. I'm not aware Lorenzo has duffed many people up over the years. I'm sure Rossi has made a few harder moves on his peers. Maybe they won't be as eager as some on here to see Rossi triumph over Lorenzo.
You got to admit he is a fiesty little fucker,Miller,Rins,Vino,Redding all scraping wig MM would be a joy to watch, may as well chuck Carol Hanika in there as well,it's the future you know.
I only occasionally watch F1 now. I have several races on the recorder that I can't be bothered to watch.
