  1. Hi guys I'm a bit new to all this forum stuff, I've recently got back into riding after a few years out (mortgage, marriage etc). I've just bought a 2001 748e with 4100 miles and full history and loving every second. Now the weather is starting to turn I've been wondering if it's better stored on a paddock stand or if it's fine on its side stand? Any help would be appreciated.

  2. Paddock stand definitely mate

  3. welcome - pics too !

  4. Welcome :) I store all mine on paddock stands, more secure and look better upright, especially when in the house ;)

  5. Wow that was quick! Not sure I would be allowed it in the house. I thought paddock would be better but just wanted to make sure. Is there anything else I need to know if it's not moving for a few months?

  6. Yeah you need to buy as many performance parts over winter ready for summer!! Just so happens.........;)

  7. Going to be sunny this weekend down South...winter's not here yet!

  8. I'm waiting delivery of a set of termi's and gonna sort some carbon bits, but performance parts are definitely on the want list.

  9. As long as it's sunny and dry then I'll still be out, but unfortunately it overlaps my other passion of playing rugby

  13. Haha. It's all to easy to start buying fancy stuff and upgrades. With my last bike, an 848, I made the mistake of noting everything I spent on it. Don't do it! Just buy stuff when you fancy it, get it fitted, forgotten about and tell the Mrs it came with the bike ready for fitting.

    Hello and welcome
