OK, so it's not a real bike, and some might've seen the picture before, but I love the look of this as a modern Pantah!
The more I look at it the more I want one! I've never bought a new bike in my life, cars yes but never a bike, (although my Mrs said I could have a panigale but I couldn't justify it) but I would buy a modern Pantah in a heartbeat.
Apart from the end of the exhaust thats not too shabby. As a fan of the Pantah and an ex owner of one of the Moto Vecchia TT2 replicas i'd welcome a modern bike in this style.
unfortunately ducati is not listening to riders and what they want if they build a bike like that it would tempt me into the showroom ducati is hell bent on building expensive bikes to outperform the japanese
Surely they (or someone else) could come up with a body kit for a Monster? That would be the obvious way to go.
Dukes have always been expensive but tbh i can't get excited about walking into a ducati dealer! ever since Tambourini left the company along with Bordi. I wish bordi was still in control!
I may be a bit biased as I have an original Pantah but yes, I would buy one of those but think the 796 engine should be the one. I`m not sure if the comments about Ducati not listening are correct though. The Pantah turned into the 90`s 750 and 900 ss range which eventually became the 1000 sport and Paul Smart. I dont know the figures but did enough of us buy them to keep the productionl lines busy or did we all split into 4 valve liquid cooled 749/999 etc or 2 valve aircooled Monster and Hyper riders?
Have you seen the latest offering from Sports Motorcycles? same price as a panegalle, but sooo much nicer, i know which one i would buy, given the chance.
