White numbers boards front and back ... i like the look plus a bit of protection against stone chips, so whats the masses think, look good or look poop lol
Look good in my opinion. Mine are painted on so don't offer any protection against stone chips. I do have a full 1098R front and rear white board adhesive kit for sale if you're interested. It looks exactly the same as what's on my bike in the pic below.
That does look good dude, how much you want for the vinyl kit ... seen similar on ebay but has the black pin strip instead of gold
Bike looks great, pretty much all the bits I want on mine! Just need some carbon mirror covers and a fuel filler
The standard ones on the 1098R look great in my opinion. I thought they were a bit much when I 1st saw them, but after looking at them for a bit, the standard red bike looks a little bland. I have seen some that are less pleasing on the eye though.
Thanks for the compliments. My bike came with number boards fitted when I bought it but they were too busy for my liking with stripes and logos all over them. The first thing I did was remove them. For me the 1098R is just the right balance, plain white with the gold pinstripe that ties in with the wheels. I also had the area on the tail unit to the rear of the seat painted black and fitted carbon fibre air intakes. I'm not too sure about whether to fit a carbon bellypan. I like the red and can't help thinking that the carbon contrast between the two panels makes them look unfinished, but then the carbon does look good!. I might go halfway and and paint the top half of the belly red and leave a strip of carbon at the bottom and maybe leave some carbon exposed boarders round the kickstand openings etc.
Again, as with the number boards, I wasn't sure of the carbon belly pan on my 1098R. I've come to like it though and red would just look wrong to me now. The carbon wheels and belly pan give it a great contrast. It does show off the 6th element very well with all the other bits and pieces.
I think the number boards look great on these bikes. I have a front/rear white/black number board from Carbon Trader. Think it was about £50, but that was a couple of years ago. Very very easy to fit if you follow the instructions carefully and the quality is great, and I'm sure they provide a little protection too.
Looks like a Superpole, very firm but lovely seat and you stick to it well, so as you position yourself where you want on the bike and not the other way around Word of warning from my experience best avoided if yer a short arse
Or you could follow the Ferrari method and make the coat of paint so thin you can see the carbon weave through it. Andy
Yeah, it's the super pole seat. I didn't like it to be honest, found it too bulky and very very hard. Opted for the Ducati performance one and it's, let say seen better days!! The tank is the 18L alu tank that the SP came with. Much lighter and doesn't warp or bubble!!
