  1. No, your looking as relaxed and normal as always...

  2. Nearly right.
I've lost a shit load of fat off my face and the facial hair.
But otherwise you've nailed the eyes.

  3. Only good thing about hospital. When I come out it was a couple of stone lighter.

  4. It's the food.....it is nearly inedible.
And what is it with the food staff?
Ask them to open the plastic seal on the pre-cooked meal as one hand is in a cast / sling, i'm clearly very bed ridden with the other injuries and they come back with it's not my job, ask a nurse!
The next morning you are getting your arse wiped by a Greek (nice guy by the way) with the curtains closed when a head appears "you want breakfast".
Make your mind up food people!

  5. I'll let you know how much once the bear trap is removed.

  6. The rudeness is on another level. I felt like saying, ok you precious lookalike c**t. How about putting my plate down like a plate and not like you're dropping the yellow pages on the table. And the tea... How can a British hospital not make a cup of tea!

  10. For the 1st week after my accident, I couldn't eat anything and didn't visit the toilet. My body just totally shut down.

  11. The body is amazing it adapts to your situation

I got home from A&E and needed a toilet but couldn't wipe my own anything or pull my trousers down
Had to have it done for me :flushed:

  12. How odd. That's happened to me too but I've never thought of getting drunk in the A&E. Interesting.

  15. was in hospital for a month a few years back and the food was rank. could not eat it other than the fruit, yogurt and cornflakes at breakfast. i spent the first 2 weeks getting wheeled down to costa's for an over priced panini or some shite. then i discovered the staff restaurant which has an area for patients as well. really nice cheap food, would have been nice if i was told about it 2 weeks earlier.
When i complained about the food on the wards i was told the the budget for meals in hospitals is (or was 5 years back) around £1.50 per meal.
fair enough times is tough but what pissed me off most is the catering company chap that told me this, also told me the budget per meal in prison was around £3.50.... never researched it but if true its a fucken piss take

  17. UPDATE
Completely off all pain medication :Inpain: and now working on massively reducing the pain blocker Pregablin.
Pills are being spaced out to reduce dosage very slowly to reduce the side effects.:Grumpy:
Mentally coming off these drugs is a living nightmare and you need the support of family or close friends.
Being winter with no sun didn't help.

Just realised at the weekend that I don't have any leg physioterrorists?
SWMBO told me I sent them away a couple of months back when I couldn't walk.:Banghead:..sort of makes sense, but I didn't remember.:Bag:
Anyway, called on Monday and today had my first session.....bloodly brilliant.:Bucktooth:
I was walking around 20' at a time in almost human fashion.
My Physio thinks I'm mad giving up pain meds so early, but I need/want to work.
So Five hours later I'm very sore and back on my rollator.:(

I'm managing about 5 hours a day in the office and we are doing 4 man days of work a week to keep the business afloat.

Tomorrow we start again.....this time with my first onsite engineering works.:Wideyed:
I've got a CCTV engineer as my hands and body:Bookworm:, as the repairs involve climbing inside a machine to change a water valve and humidifier (for those in the trade).
