Hi, I've been looking into a front paddock stand, and would like some advice Whats best, Under the headstock?, but not everyone manufactures one that has the right size pin, think its a 28mm dia hole? Harris dont go upto that size Or under the fork bottoms, the holes in the fork bottoms are only shallow so is it going to be stable? Spoke to Woods Parts and Accessories guys yesterday, very helpful and recommended the genuine Ducati item which goes under the caliper mountings. Yeah ok its £150, but prob cheaper than the consequences of if falling of something else! I've reviewed some of the threads prev, ABBA lift; no ta dont want the hassle of removing fairings every time, Pitbull; cant see UK supplier or much else actually cos website not working. And Oxford, R&G etc all do what, but what works and whats recommended by users, Thanks in advance
I use a stainless Harris jobbie that hooks under the calliper mounts. I works great. I don't remember what it cost but it wasn't daft money.
I use Ducati stands on 1199. Front doesn't lift high enough to get front wheel off. Get Harris, either type

Different diameter pins. I use mine for the race bike so due to taking the front wheel out all the time I found that the wheel is a little low to the ground which I overcome by cutting one of the pins in half and welding the 15mm pin to it thereby lifting the headstock a lot higher off the ground and giving me a lot more clearance between tyre and floor.
You can put a 1/2" socket of the right size on the smaller pin. This will then fit in the hole. With the under yoke pins, I have sheared about 4 of the 13mm pins on other model Ducati's. I guess they are under a heavy strain, when lifting.
