  1. Just ordered a pair of these...(I thought this area would be the best place to post)

Ive got a job to do on my RSV4 it went through the MOT with an advisory with regards to the rear linkage having a bit more play than there should be so, being the good egg that I am ive got all the rollerbearings and bushes to collect tonight to sort it out. One of the lads on the AF1 forum posted this link and I think this is a great idea....jack the rear up on a paddock stand - slide these in over the footpegs and remove the paddock stand....much easier and safer than hanging the whole thing from the ceiling! - could have done with these last week when I did the zed's rear shock....! 85 quid delivered all in, hand made from stainless - top stuff.

Could have done with knowing about these last week when I fitted the shock to the zed thou but Ill be using it on the RSV4 next....apologies to all of you that knows about these but ive never seen them before so thought it was worth the share...

  2. Don't the pegs fold up?

Edit, I expect that's why its a tube.

  4. Well, yes, I know about those but my theory was was that they "could" slip off....whereas the tubed version will hold folding pegs also "or a better chance of"....plus theres the quality thing...theyre well made and reasonably priced...I think.

Mine are fixed just for the record....lightech but the zed's are folding....so ill be testing...

  5. I had a look at the Facebook page. They look beautifully made...I like the paddock stands

  6. Yeah - if its any consolation he uses the proceeds to fund his racing....as far as I know - for that its worth pushing business his way...plus as you say - its beautifully made stuff...plus, from my point of view its a quality thing, tools for the job and all that...

  8. Looked at these many times and may well invest.

  9. As you are a man who uses wood to fix subframes, your post surprises me :tearsofjoy:

  14. What I want is one single one but that acts like a stand. Wish I could weld :(

My garage is full of stuff non wood...

  15. I've got one for my Enfield race bike Bradders, I can make you one if you want I've got a mig welder and a hydraulic pipe blender.

  16. Well... For me if i use the ratchet straps it means that i can only hang the bike in one place in the garage (as theres only really one place in the roof to hang from) which means the front sticks out the garage door, so, whatever im doing ive got to be done by the end of the day...... These mean i can put it somewhere else and leave it apart for as long as i need to...

  17. Yes please :)
Great for unpacking and packing bike and scrutineering

  18. Same fella also does wome wheel pegs for hanging soare wheels on a garage wall. Reckon they would work in a van too with approroate support

  19. Are footpegs and their mounts designed to be loaded in this direction?

  20. By the nature of frame design they are generally stronger if anything in this direction. I can't think of a frame that isn't.
There is a motorcycle lift that has been using a foot peg mount for years, forget it's name now.
