Hi all, I'm Simon and I live in Wiltshire, I've not been riding for a couple of years (lost interest) ,but before that I was riding anything from Suzuki ap50 - Yamaha R1's for just under 30 years, at one point I had 9 bikes including kwak turbo,rd & rzv500's ,katana's and list goes on. now I have come across a Ducati Multistrada which looks quite interesting and may regenerate my enthusiasm back into to biking. I went and had a look at a couple yesterday, but no one wanted to let me have a test ride ,the shops said it was too wet and they wouldn't let the bikes out ,looks like they don't want to sell a bike. I've never ridden one of these machines and the only time I have rode a Ducati was in 1999 with my mates race tuned 853. no doubt I shall be asking quite a few questions in the near future, once I find my way around the forum. many thanks Simon
Welcome from very near Wiltshire, west Berks infact. I can't imagine being without a bike tbh, it's a great feeling to go out and just think about that and nothing else but obv sometimes other priorities present themselves
 Simon, And another big hello + welcome from a Wiltshire neighbour. Once you get on a Mutli, but only if it's in RED, just ask Duc-Bird , coz she knows, you will NOT be disappointed and with the masses of encouragement and detailed knowledge about them from this bunch of lunatics on this 'ere site, you'll get along fine ! Trust me I'm a Doctor octor: (aren't I, or.......)
That's right, the Multi owners on here have had every conceivable type of problem with their bikes, if it's gone wrong these guys know about it.
Thank you for the warm welcome, Sadly it's not my plane , but it is one I helped to restore. The car in front is mine . I still have four bikes, three for the road (just lost interest) and one for track n trail riding ( cheap Chinese disposable). I made a mistake in my first post, I went and saw three multistrada's , two red and one flat silver. I think once I've convinced myself the engine is suitable for me , I would like a fully loaded pearl white one with possibly the active suspension, but I have not seen one advertised yet. Regards Simon
Have I just got a slap in the face or is that a 'oh no ' sign . I went over Winchester today to see what have, quite a nice little shop , I was going to take the 15 plate demo out, but typically it was already out for a while and I had run out of time. I do have concerns about the amount of corrosion these kind of adventure bikes have compared to other makes.
