I so hope that Rossi isn't going to develop a whinging victim mentality. That was the one thing that set him apart from all other riders - the very foundation of his popularity: the attitude. If he is, maybe he should retire now. In fact, I suspect he should retire now. His only real chances of another title are through consistency - getting on podiums like this year - but not from winning more races through being uncatchable. Better to end on a high instead of limping through a championship whinging. Rossi lost the title because over the season, Lorenzo was faster. That's the end of it. He'll just have to get over it.
Just another opinion...*yawn*... No matter how well written,it's still what the writer thinks. For instance, here are a few of his,"Facts beyond dispute": That Jorge Lorenzo did what Valentino Rossi feared he would, and took off at the front Ah,so the writer is actually Valentino Rossi.VR is the only one that knows what VR fears.Even if VR said that he feared it,he might be playing mind games by saying it.(VR has a history of playing mind games,or so I understand). That Marc Márquez had the pace to follow Lorenzo for all of the race, though he had to ride at the limit to do so. The only person who would know that the second part of this statement is true this is Marc Marquez. So unless the writer is MM,then he cannot possibly state that it is true. That track temperatures were round about where they were yesterday, high enough to cause problems for the hardest option front tire as the race went on, especially for the Hondas. And that is based on the writers personal experience,I assume? But try as I might,I can't find his name on the Valencia entrants list... I could bore myself to death picking holes in this persons article, but it has no more validity than Robarano's contributions to this thread,or mine,or anyone else's take on the matter. It has added nothing to the debate,(because it can't-he has no evidence to back up his claims). There are probably million of MotoGP fans that see one side of the argument. And there are millions who believe in the other. And millions who see both sides, and can't make their minds up either way.Probably, there are only very few of of them are deluded And unless you are VR or MM,you don't know jack shit. And even they don't know what each other was thinking, because EVERY man,(and woman),is an island. Believe what you want to believe, just as this writer does, but opinion in a party dress is still just opinion. In the words of someone much smarter than me:"you can't polish a turd"...and that,(unless it's dry, then you might be able to I suppose),is a fact.
No one will ever know if there is any truth in it, unless pictures of Lorenzo and Marquez in the bath together surface or if a payment is say traced from one to another...... Rossi lost, brought a lot of the trouble on himself. He has to move on otherwise next season will be pointless. I can still see him stopping now in Motogp despite him saying he will be there next year......
This is all very true, but if you go down that route, there is very little point having a discussion forum, which is just people's views. In fact, you might not bother with a Parliament - that's just people's views too. The article is just a very well reasoned viewpoint agreed, but it adds something to the discussion.
Danny Kent won a world championship yesterday. The king is dead, long live the king . He scored more pints than his rival. Even with grid penalties, points lost in offs, points lost when his tea mates finished higher up the order. Perhaps Miguel is the real champ though, seeing as he wears yellow undies.
Kent and Pedrosa are the real winners. Pedrosa was described as being off the pace all weekend. Out of touch with the leaders. No longer will someone see +3.0 Ped on their board with 5 laps to go and think they're safe. Awesome pace and clever riding to conserve everything until the end.
lorenzo was given the title by its spanish sponsors he didnt win it start your main rival at the back of the grid to give you the only hope you had whilst employing a blocker over the previous rounds .we all know it you cant bullsh*t over it it was fixed and it stinks. Dorna is Spanish
It's a very well written article, and the guy comes to some reasonable conclusions. However,in order to come to his conclusions,he claimed that some facts were indisputable. But those facts are not indisputable: they are his own conclusions, and the moment he stated they were indisputable, when he could not possibly know the truth of them,I lost interest. Here are some facts: Lorenzo started from pole position, Rossi from last but one. Lorenzo won the race, Rossi came fourth. Lorenzo is Champion, Rossi isn't. Rossi has every right to complain if he feels hard done by,just like Lorenzo had every right to complain about Marquez riding dangerously. I can dress those up into all sorts of theories and pretend it's a meticulously researched piece for you,but if I make statements of "fact" that I could not possibly know to be true then I would not expect to be taken seriously. And so I can't take matey seriously...seriously...I'm being serious now...penmouth:
Lorenzo well deserved champion Rossi greatest multiple champion of our time , not covering himself in glory now and even if he's right or wrong should let it go, Marquez not his finest time and what goes around can very often cone around, still a great champion past and future, Roll on Qatar ,
