We had to let her go today, we took her home and buried her at home. We done everything we could. We are in bits, I can't think of a word to describe the feeling. Our Brook, the wee bear.
we're on our third "Rescue" staffy - you tend to get an older dog, and it's the same heartbreak each time they leave us. When the time is right, you'll know if you want to take on another
Bulldogs are cuties but bloody expensive these days! Bet your mate's 2.5k lighter in the wallet department.
Yeh I guessed £2k but he said a bit more so probably 2.5-3k I bet. The breeder had some at £6k he said. They must of been the "R" version or something
At least you haven't had 'devil dog' to contend with...... As an aside our British Blue cost in excess of 4.5K to deal with after getting clipped by a car.........That's why we insure our animals, as much as they annoy me......
Really sorry to hear this. Losing your pet is the pits. Definitely the worst days of my life when it has occurred. You get over it in time, of course, even if they always leave a hole.
Bulldogs are the business (I have had 2) but yes, very expensive and somewhat delicate in health. Biggest thing to look out for is overheating in summer which can kill them if you can't get them into some water. I have had personal experience of this and it is no fun at all. Otherwise, they are just the funniest dog you can get.
i had one bull terrier all ready,Ish the one with the brown ear. since last month i have a second one,Penny a 4,5 year old bitch. henk!!!
Agreed. I've had two as well. And what you said about hot days triggered a memory. I had to carry one of mine home on a hot day once. Not a good look. But great dogs and as daft as buggery. Which I like!
