No idea but it would be interesting to find out. Already been back for fuel trip meter and in next week for fuel sensor. As my dealer is a 2 hour round trip it would be nice if everything was done at once!!
I would b surprised if the side stand is a different p/n for the US, they do tend to be bigger and heavier though
Just received my recall. Booked in next week at Moto Rapido. It's a batch number check and replacement if necessary. Beware if you live a long ways from ur dealer as currently its look, order then fit, so it's two journeys.
+1 I picked up the letter from the doormat this afternoon after a nice ride out - to Ducati Aylesbury :-(
According to my USA dealer, there was a batch of original side stands made with bad welds. The dealer has to see the bike to figure out if that particular bike is affected, there's a batch number stamped on the side stands. Mine was and the side stand was replaced this past Tuesday, so the replacements are readily available.
They are available but the dealers are not pre-ordering so its a two visit scenario. If I lived far from my dealer I think I would be complaining about that.
Surely any dealer with sense would order 1 or 2 stands for stock -they are bound to find some that need changing
Depends on the dealer I guess, My Dealer is getting in stock so only one visit for me. I also have a centre stand, have been using that a while only now
Darn - could have done with getting the letter last week as I'd just been back to have the fuel sensor done.
Received one in the post today. On a ride out this weekend so I am going to check my fuel sender as I think it did a weird level response after a recent fill up. Also they can probably do the ecu update at the same time.
Got my recall notice today too. Not happy though as its a 150 mile round trip to my dealer. Another great example of Ducati customer service!
Just checked mine. No sticker on side stand but there was one on the inner right hand leg of the main stand. W17 :disrelieved: Booked in next week.
