  1. I'm wondering if they did it on purpose to hide the lack of single swing arm.

  2. With the exhaust being connected to the pillion footpegs, does that mean you can't remove them? It's the same with the side exit Akrapovic unit.

  3. Ah. Nice try I suppose, they don't quite look in proportion anymore do they.

  4. More than a whiff of Apple about that presentation and their marketing direction.

  5. I guess there will be plenty of companies offering exhaust hangers so you can bin the pillion pegs.

  6. Whip the cans off, replace with a Coke can/s c project type end can, should only be £100ish, ok it may not sound great but would look a lot better.

  7. This is MUCH more like it......

  8. That doesn't look quite as awful I guess. It's a real shame that you're going to have to fork out for the full racing kit if you want the underbelly cans though.

  9. Yeah, but that definitely has much more of a finished look, nice brushed metal, black heat shielding, looks nicer for sure

  10. It's better, but still not exactly great

  11. That fixing point looks like it's from a Lego kit

  12. Bet it costs about a grand, still retains the cats, so no different with sound or performance, still have the rear footrests or bracket for it left, looks exactly what it is a afterthought.

  13. £1311.60 according to MCN.

  14. So if you're a potential 959 owner who wants underbelly cans but doesn't want to fork out for the Akro kit I guess you can just fit the 899/1199 lower fairings and full exhaust system? You'd probably be able to pick up all that lot for well under £500 (used, obviously). Or would it need to be the 1299 system, I don't know what fits what in terms of standard systems, but that's probably the route I'd go, just to get it to look like it should have in the first place!

  15. Come again.... £1300 for the silencer to fix the piggy standard one? Oh dear

  16. Or just buy a 899

  17. Trouble is, if you want a brand new bike, once the supply of 899's has gone you have no choice!

  18. True

I must say, my 899 is the first bike I've had that I can see me keeping for a long time.

  19. only full on ducatiists would try and make someit out of a bad job, lets face it it is SHIT and anyone trying to convince themselves ?? keep taking the tablets, the cans are a joke and the akro just as bad , see how many sell not a lot I guess, and at what 13/14k ha the joke gets better pmsl,

  20. Hahahahaha well weighted argument as usual! It's possibly people trying to be positive about a situation that Ducati couldn't really avoid, MV are busy doubling the size of their exhausts also.....
