I've not really got any on the 899 yet, I'd like to get some decent ones though. had a mate take a few on the damp weekend, samsung phones have poo cameras! What's the best photo you have of you on your bike?
That is a great pic,out of intrest how and with what was it taken with, guessing its a gopro still ? Me at Alcarras last month losing my elbow down virginity on the 1199s!

Yeah it was exactly - a still from the instructor's video when he was following me. Think it was a drift HD from memory
epic shots! I've not managed to get my knee down on the 899 yet, I'm a slow learner of bikes, takes a while to get the confidence. Think I'm still a bit rigid on it, with my arms. Can't really imagine getting my elbow down (I don't have elbow sliders either).
Knee down will come with practice and getting comfortable hanging off the bike and leaning it over further. Track days are the way forward in that respect It's all in the body position really, and slicks definitely go a long way to help! I didn't expect to get my elbow down at all to be honest, but by the end of my trip away I could do it on most good corners on the track. Doesn't make you any quicker; purely for fun [emoji1] For what it's worth I don't have elbow sliders either... Going to get some added to my current leathers though to cover the scrapes
I had my knee on the deck on my 600RR, I think it's as you say, body position, probably more my upper body and arms in my head. But sometimes when I'm off the seat it's an issue as my legs are so bloody long! Going to do a few more track days on the pani in the new year. Thanks for your reply though, mega pics mate!
Bend, drop and tuck your inside elbow and this will bring your head down and forward. If you do that while hanging off then even without a lot of lean angle your knee will touch down. Don't try too hard though because while you're thinking about trying to do it and sort of flinching while waiting for your slider to hit tarmac, you'll slow down and the bike will stand up and it'll become a vicious circle. Trackdays are the best place to try it, failing which, roundabouts on trade or industrial estates at night when there's not much traffic about. I found it's easier to learn how to do it on fastish corners rather than hairpins, so roundabouts aren't really ideal and fast corners on the road aren't ideal either because of the risks. Hence why track is best.
Thanks for the advice, when you say tuck your inside, do you mean bend it and angle towards the ground? Assuming outside arm should be fairly straight across the tank, arse cheek off of the seat etc. I think that's my problem now, because I'm new to this bike, I've gone rigid and am not bending my arms and getting my head over far enough. on my 600, I was so confident I was putting in huge lean angles anyway, so my knee got down that way. Probably not the fastest or best way.
Should have also said drop your inside shoulder. If you're tense then it's not going to happen. I've never ridden a Pani, but other Ducatis I've ridden have felt different to Jap bikes and in a nutshell, they don't steer as quickly and so you need to grab them by the scruff of the neck a little bit. You can't pussyfoot around with them. But like I said, I've never ridden a Pani, and they may not be like that. I'm no expert though. But these guys are (a picture speaks a thousand words).....
