as i write this Countdown is on the telly....Unfortunately, my perving on Rachel Riley has been totally overshadowed by the appearance of a new guest in nerds corner..it wasnt Ranulph Fiennes, but the most ludicrously comical syrup stuck on top of his head..i swear that it looks like one of Frankie Howerd's or Brucie's cast offs..it's even worse than the ones Wogan wears, and lets face, theyre appalling. It just goes to show hey, that even a rufty 'tufty' arctic explorer is as vain and shallow as the rest of us. Speaking as a bloke, i would be devasted if i lost my hair..ive got a bit of recession going on but, thankfully, its 90% there. if the day comes when its seriously on the way out and cant be saved with a transplant, i'll do the decent thing and shave my head, not cover it up with an Irish. i would post a pic up but the site never allows me to and i havent sussed out photobucket (and cant be arsed)
You mean a Syrup, not an Irish........:wink: My hair is fine, so as it thinned a bit, I couldn't be a***d to mess around with shampoos and thickening products, so I crop it........I wouldn't be seen dead with a wig or toupee....unless the undertaker had got it in for me... AL
I have a sunroof at 38, nowt you can do about it and it has never bothered me. I have never used any product and never would, once the front meets the back It'll all come off but to be fair over the last few years its never really gotten any worse.
It must be hard. As a woman I'd be hysterical if I lost my hair. However with men the more you try to cover it up the more it draws attention to it. Best thing to do is shave it off. Women really are not that fussed (I know the owner if the head of hair is) Lets face it max wall is not a good look. Nor is the Terry Wogan. And the only man who could get away with a Terry Nutkins was Terry Nutkins. Cropped hair can feel quite velvety and nice. As for likes of Rooney .... Basically it's male pattern baldness. He's filled in the front but the crown and top will soon go. He will be left with an island of possible Pubic hair on his head at the front!!! ( I know it's from the back of head ) I think it's best to go bald with grace .
Well, I knew I would be grey by the time I was 40, as my old man was, I'm starting to get a bit of a sunroof at the back, but keep it short ( number1 on the trimmer) and will shave it off when the time comes. My old man had a Bobby Charlton comb over which I thought looked awful, but it was a good way of knowing when he was in a bad mood as it would take on a life of its own and stand up!

Get a grip Funky! Fig told you how to do it in more detail than I could be bothered with. Just follow his directions - they're spot on. I can't much post on the rug question, as at 52, mine is still all there. Both brothers (51 and 63) have everything as does old man at 87. It's just the genes. Still, I deserve some luck. Adolescence was ruined with wicked acne which went on into my 20s.
I started to lose mine at 23. :frown: I consoled myself with the fact hat I was dripping with testosterone :smile:
