The police the way it is currently are HUGELY under manned so I doubt that will happen. Mind due, they seem to put more effort in to speeding fines than anything else so if they can see the possibility to create revenue..
at the risk of getting slapped around a lil here, if the 1299 can pass euro 4 tests with its exhaust, why cant the lower capacity 959 pass with the same style?
I'm not sure that the 1299 had the same restrictions in place when it was produced. Maybe the next version (1359?!) will.
Just checked. Euro 4 is enforced from 1st Jan 2016. So 959 being a new 2016 bike is forced to adhere to the rules. 1299 was launched before this date.

The new V-twin engine in the 959 Panigale is the first of the Superquadro engines from Ducati to pass Euro4 regulations, with the 955cc unit now developing 157bhp at peak; up from 148bhp on the outgoing 899 Panigale. The current 1299 is not Euro4 compliant – so expect some side cannons on that for 2017 if they can’t design a better solution. Thankfully the 959’s genuine aftermarket cans are still underbelly like the 1299s – and cost £1311.60.

Yeah I actually agree with that. I prefer the 1199 looks to the 1299, looks more aggressive (if you look closely) I will say that the 1299 seat cowl looks mega though !
So it's £1311.60 for the full Akro underbelly system as apposed to the twin-stacked cans? That price seems fairly low, isn't the Akro system for the 1299 around the £3.5k mark??
