I do consider my self an engineer (albeit electronic) and a life long rider and mechanic enthusiast. I think my input would make a better motorcycle, but at a greater cost.
Meh...I've lost my mojo now...doing my best work and the teacher shoots me down.:Sorry: Posts (Mine) being deleted ffs..:Rage:..surely you are going to distill this thread before onward submission? .... Not kill discussion!:Banghead: You'll find me behind the bike sheds having a fag.:Cigar:
The Multistrada is the Ducati long distance tourer (road) therefore it should have a 300 mile tank, not the 120 to 150 miles it has today. Do Ducati have any plans to address this? It has been widely tested and all the dyno results show successive later models of the Multistrada to be lower on power than the previous models, despite newer models being described as more powerful. Has Ducati changed how it describes peak power and are we going to see a power increase in future models to match BMW and KTM? Now the new Multistrada is described as Euro 4 compliant, does that mean we can expect to measure even less power on the dyno? Perhaps a answer may be a 1299 Multistrada (with sensible around town gearing, 6th (7th..8th?) as the motorway overdrive and a quick shifter? Note Most of North London has 20mph speed limits with 30mph and 40mph becoming rarer by the day. Smart roads with average speed monitoring means that we need cruise control and speed (selectable) limiting as a must for non race bikes.
3 year and a 60k mile transferrable warranty should be as they leave the factory (like an Audi); with chargable options to 4 years (75kk miles) and 5 years (90k miles). Again like an Audi.
What has been done to address the soft (easily) scratched LCD/speedo screens for existing and new models? A gorilla glass overlay, coated to reduce reflection perhaps?
Does Ducati use any UK based focus groups to allow feedback on existing issues and ideas for new models? I'm sure you'll find a loyal band of volunteers on this forum.
Rob...I'll edit to put the questions in bold after the context in slant lettering. The questions were always there?
I don't know how else to put this, but as there seems to be some confusion on what this thread is for: please keep this thread to irrelevant comments only. If you're struggling to think of something irrelevant then perhaps refrain from cluttering this thread up with constructive comments. Ta peeps... :smileys:
The rear brake and its reliable operation has been a contentious issue for Multistrada owners since 2010. Frequent bleeding, uprated fluids and circuit modifications have all be tried by riders with varying degrees of success. Other models don't seen to suffer (.e.g. My 998). Do Ducati have a plan to improve the reliability and strength of the Multistrada rear brake, and if so what are they?
