Hi everyone, i live in hexham and own a Ducati Multistrada dvt. Read some excellent posts on Ducati's and find this a great site.
Bardon mill I know it well. Having a few problems with mine already. Clocks, forks, rear suspension and its only 10 weeks old. Been at the dealers for nearly 4 out of the 10.
Your welcome There is a thread running ask the boss of Ducati UK Perhaps you would like to share your issue with Tim
I'm just along the road in Prudhoe, with a 2014 Multistrada. Did you get yours from M&S? They've been fairly good at dealing with Ducati to get the various issues I've had sorted out. (Just booked it in for its big service, where it'll also be getting its second replacement exhaust this year.) I've got something of a reputation there ... they were trying to persuade me to buy a Kawasaki next. ;-)
They have been great with me as well, Dave and Paul are doing there upmost to help sort this out. Its a shame the dealers get all the hassle from the customer and then have to try and deal with the factory. I was told not to call Dave Wildes the area rep anymore about this problem and to deal with M&S direct, not realy what you want to hear from Ducati.
That says alot about Ducati mind.. Buy a Kawasaki next?? They told me to get rid before the warranty end in 2yrs, not really what you want to here when youve just spent a shed load of hard earned cash on a Ducati. Not a good sales pitch!!!
That's the service department ... I'm sure the sales department wouldn't say the same! They haven't suggested that to me, but I was thinking that the KTM 1290 Super Duke GT is looking very tempting ... if I can just sell a kidney or something ...
Pricey isn't it, all be it better value than the pikes peak but tbh I'm just tempted with a standard dvt now and adding bling + noise
If I wanted a bus, I'd buy a second-hand one from Go North East. Also, too many tales of things like imploding rear hubs ...
