I've never Paid full retail for a bike I even got chunk off my 1199 at the time was at least a 6 month wait for one . pal got a full loaded Bmw retail 16k for 14 mid season ,

 

yep me to , dealers must love it charging full hit then saying I will give you a tank of fuel,, lol

I just thought of something. The monster 1200 is a brilliant bike apart from the foot peg and pillion hangers catching your feet. I thought the fella who designed that piece of art would have been in the sticker department now... Maybe he's in exhausts

btw for the record you could not get easier people to sell a bike to, go in say I like it ,,, how much ,,, yep lets have it,,, not even haggling down to the last penny,,

 

I get price without trade in first so I know exactly what I'm paying and what getting if I part x , as salesmen often hide figures eg make out get more for yours . Deal I got offered was cash or pcp ducati tri options same interest etc

 

I just read that MCN are quoting 7KG weight increase for the 959 (which is the second place I have heard this). So that makes it heavier than the 848 Evo that the 899 replaced.

I don't want to beat on the 959 because I'm sure it's great to ride but I think they should have tried to keep the weight down by maybe adding the alloy subframe from the 1299 to offset the exhaust weight. Granted that would have increased the already increasing cost.

Also, I weighed my stock exhausts from my 899 and they were 7.5kg, if I assume the termi's are 3.5kg then my 899 is already 11kg lighter than a 959, and there are loads of 899's around for £10k with Termi's so new buyers should wonder whether to save some cash!
