So what have you done today..?

  1. That's it, feed the birds. Increase their dependency on you. Hoping they'll vote for you, Glidd?

Edit: I do apologise. Wrong thread.

  2. Feeding the birds is one of the joys of winter. I am always amazed at the amount of varieties, most of which you never see during the summer.

  4. I refereed a women's football match today and had a great time.

I booked two for muttering under their breath, one for the silent treatment and I sent one off without explanation and left her wondering what she'd done wrong.

  5. We had some snow fall during last night and it's still there as its been sub zero all day.

This afternoon one of SWMBO friends came round asking me to set up her new iPad before she heads off to the Far East in December for three months.

This evening I was supposed to be going to a launch party for a new bar in Brighouse as I was invited by the owners last week, but I'm gonna give it a miss as I don't think I can get the car up the bank from our courtyard, because of the frozen snow/ice on the ground. So I'm just gonna watch Strictly and chill.

Tomorrow we are going to the Holmfirth art market and then for an afternoon champagne tea that SWMBO got for her birthday back in June. :)

  6. Mine is the 600, so the most typical one really. Still a lovely little bike, and amazing how small it feels against my CBR 600 of similar vintage.

  7. Drove to the gym this morning, normally cycle but the snow and wind stopped that. Excercised my jaw more than anything else then on getting home the older daughter was there, "my car wont start" marvelous. Piss farted about with that for a while then arsed about on the laptop.

  8. Gone to a dinner and dance. I like dinner, fecking hate dancing.

  9. I'm sure that that is something like a champagne breakfast which sounds superb, luxurious and expensive, but when it comes down to it, do you really want to be drinking champagne either at breakfast time, or teatime?
What you want at teatime is crumpets and muffins with lots of butter and jam and some tea - if it's winter.

The Swiss are odd about this too. They don't have any real concept of teatime, so if someone comes around at about 4pm, they sort of expect you to open a bottle of white wine. That only really makes any sense to me after about 6pm. Anything before that should be teatime with tea.

  10. I agree. That said I didn't pay for it so I'm not bothered. :)

  13. Cracking ride out on the Katoomer. Went down to West Bay for my fix of vinegar and fag smoke. The sun was shining, wasn't that cold, I had the coast road to myself and no bugs to splat. November's not all bad.

  14. I started to eat a horse today - then I realised, I wasn't so hungry

  15. My wife called me today and said, "I've got a few pains in my stomach and I feel a bit sick."

"What have you eaten?" I asked.

She said, "About an hour ago I had a cheese sandwich, two packets of crisps, a sausage roll, two chocolate bars and strawberry milkshake."

"That'll be why then," I said, "you're probably hungry."

  16. So, with a daily disposal contact lens in my right eye, I went for a drive down to Moto Rapido this afternoon. I am now beginning to realise just how bad the cataracts were affectng my eyesight. For the first time for nearly a year, (to steal a few words from a song) I can see clearly now. Roll on Friday when I get an implant in my right eye. Confirmed the XDiavel is coming to a (UK) dealer near you next year, so expressed an interest in a test ride when it arrives. Andy
