  1. CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE? JUST PURCHASED A MINT 2004 749 ONLY 4,800 MILER! ITS TOO QUIET FOR ME (I LIKE MINICABS TO KNOW IM COMING!) SO I NEED ADVICE ON HOW TO MAKE IT LOUDER OR SENSIBLY PRICED RACE CANS THAT WONT BREAK THE BANK? ANY IDEAS PLEASE???

  2. @Loz could sell you his clutch assembly if you ask him nicely? ;)

  3. You could enable caps lock on it so it's constantly shouting? [emoji6]

Joking aside its either Termis or core the standard exhaust.

    Termi's is the one really.

  4. There are also Zard, Mivvi and I think Arrow but you don't see many of those.

  5. S/h termi dont come up very often and this is reflected in price. Asymetric(half) system is cheapest and easiest way to go as they all fit across the range(i think?) The full systems vary between swingarm types and deep sump bikes and are a bit of a minefield to buy on spec. You can just fit a back box but the single pipe with the asymetric system makes the system cat free. The cheapest option as prev post to gut a standard can works ok, but buy a s/h one to have done as its a bit of a job cutting and rewelding and can go tits up. Theres also the cat in the vertical pipe that needs shot of really. Ive heard a cored can on a 749S and its a little bit flat sounding compared to termi.

  6. FWIW fruitiest I've ever heard on these has to be the LeoVince race unit :Woot: unfortunately they're also pretty rare and likely to break the bank so I'll shut up now :Muted:

  7. Thanks everybody - given me some info to think about. Goon news I found the caps off button!

  8. There is Elite Super Bikes on Ebay who have Termi's now and again, might be worth a try.

  9. See thread http://ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/exhaust-cans.38397/ for the 848 I am sure that they will have something.
Those of you who mention Termis must have missed the OPs first thread where he writes: "SENSIBLY PRICED". I cannot afford Termis, even second hand, and all that I wanted was more noise. :)

  10. Allenby Motorcycles have a Termi rear box which will slip on your standard system. Ideally you should really change the horizontal link pipe for a de-cat pipe as well as this has the other cat in it. There in Chelmsford Essex 01245 348100 but make sure you sitting down if you call them.

  11. Hi,thanks Mongoose for the lead - although in just under 3 weeks I have fallen head over heels with my first Ducati I don't want to spend Brewsters on an exhaust system.I am no qualified engineer but I built my beloved Bonnie from a box 5 boxes of bits (plenty missing bits!) so I'm pretty sure I can do exhaust core job without making a pigs ear of the job?We will see?749 is in the lounge anyway so if I start just after Christmas Day lunch the girlfriends parents (both younger than me) might fuck off home to North Wales early? Hahaha

  13. I'd look into seeing if there was anything available from Spark. These are Italian exhausts and were much cheaper than Termis. I had carbon cans from them on my 916 and 907. Sounded great without being ridiculous. There website appears to be pants, so hard to say if they still make an end can for the 749 - or if they ever did. My 999 system is still standard. Worth pinging them an email to find out.
