Just a quick hello... Proud owner of a new Monster 1200s this summer, although it is now tucked up in the garage for the winter. Ducati fan obviously, previously owned a 748, purchased new in 1999, which I wished I still had, but it was proving to be a tad uncomfortable as age crept up on me so had to go! Few bikes in between, mainly KTM as the off road bug got me, but back on the road and the Ducati thing has once again bitten. If anyone could help me regarding my old 748 paddock stand I would appreciate it - I was hoping I could use it for the 1200s but the spindle size is different, can this be converted? Thanks

Hi Swiss, welcome back to Ducati your old 748 stand will defiantly fit i turned up a piece of ali and used 2 grub screws to fit the spindle size and then machined the outer to fit the new spindle size, on my 1198, i would think a small engineering work shop would be able to help you locally they shouldn't charge more than around £30 for it i now have a Pani and mine fits a treat. To Be honest i did think of start selling them on Ebay! but have not got around to it, you really need the old stand and new spindle size to do a proper job. I will try later and get a few pics for you if you want to show the work shop?
Hi Swiss, just taken a couple of snaps,(a bit grubby but used) and forgot my collar don't quite fit my Pani properly, so i am going to turn up another piece of ali, have a look at the pics if your paddock stand is similar to mine we may be able to have a deal!

Hi Tony I managed to get a different spindle for my Pani from the 1098 I previously had. Got it from Riders Bridgwater, and around £30, so may be worth it far cheaper than the the full stand? Good luck.
