1200 DVT Anyone Else Disappointed By The New 2016 Pp?

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Spencer Gardner, Nov 25, 2015.

  1. On Paper it may look grim, but I guess until it has been ridden as the updates seem to be all about ride ability no one can really comment.
Maybe the vision for the PP is not touring any more, but just riding, they have bought out the Enduro, and still have the M/S S.

  2. I think it's great as I don't want it and it's saved me a lot of £££!!

  3. What do you think of the KTm Superduke GT, on paper it has that edge, well built, and could be the answer to what the Multi has lost?

  4. Hey, am also selling my 2013 PP with 14,500 miles, full luggage (sides and top), just been serviced and might include my full termi system ;)

  5. I've been jibbing at the price of the GT. Well all KTMs actually - I still think the 1290 SDR is 2K too dear. But with the new Diavel and the PP Ducati are starting to make KTMs look like value for money. They may need to have a word with themselves.
The GT should have the legs over the MTS as well. KTM are claiming to have increased power and torque over the SDR despite Euro 4 with 106 lb/ft at 6750 rpm and 180+ bhp at 9500. That's some torque bulge. It should have more tug than a tractor.

  6. Thank you! I was wondering what on earth a PP was :D

  7. If you are interested it's good to talk ;)
I'm pretty sure the next service wasn't quite that much

  8. Agreed.

Since day one the 1200 sd has been about £2k too much, I'd probably say similar with the new GT.

I do like it though, quite whether a rehashed naked is worth £16k is another matter but it's still ahead of the Ducati I'm afraid.

  9. to me it seems the GT is good value, far more spec than the PP and 3k cheaper and thats the book price so there may be deals to be had

  10. Why can't they make a cooking version with no electrickery, just decent adjustable suspenders and ABS and punt em out at 12.5 K? They'd fly out the doors.

  11. Trouble is, we've all been suckered in to the electronics marketing. I've heard people say they won't touch a bike if it hasn't got LED lights, cruise control, heated grips etc. This is why the S outsells the base by some margin - even though the base is a great bike and better value for money.

    We're a marketing company's wet dream. :)

  12. Not me. I hate all that stuff. Heated grips are my limit.

  13. As above immediately delivery £19356, it looks shite, they really taking the piss on this one .

  14. £19356.......:Jawdrop:

  15. It might just be the pictures but the belt covers and mudguards dont look carbon ?

  16. Its silly money for what it is.

  17. I think we all agree. It's a huge rip-off!

  18. I agree! for that money I'd want every carbon fibre option possible (inc intake covers, number plate holder ect.) , full termi and better paint job (or sticker job) options
