Then why would Tim ask for opinions here, if he has alternative, official and affiliated clubs to glean information from?
Another question for Tim M, if I may. Ducati produce catalogues of accessories, carbon fibre parts, and luggage etc for each model in the form of an elegantly produced hardback book. It lists all the available parts for that model of bike. Sadly there are some problems, in that the catalogue gives no information about the items' : dimensions weight material threads manufacturer price and omits to show: how they are fitted onto the bike what they look like in situ which standard parts they replace . Essentially the catalogues give no useful information at all. They are just puffery. The question is whether Ducati can be asked to start producing accessory catalogues which give real, solid information? Please?
Well, the "catalogues" aren't very well meant to make things easy for the DIY Ducati owner, are they? They're more for the situation where the proud owner and lifestyle apprentice drops off his current-year Ducati Whateverista, and asks the official dealer to, "Uh, fit, um, shiny stuff, please, just like in this picture ... gawrsh ... purdy! ... thanks!". Solid business model and not condescending at all
Exactly. Why the beaks? Why the sitting square position? Like 4 x4's they never really go off road. People keep asking....someone will come up with one.
Maybe Rob is angling for DOC affiliation, or has already submitted his signed 38-pages of regulations?
Knock yourself out: Desmo Owners Club - Found a DOC direct link: http://ducati.com/fe-web/club/RegolamentoDOC_en.pdf
Nope! Maybe it's because we attract 55k unique Ducati fans a month and Ducati getting closer to the community is part of the plan.
Just an update having spoken to Tim on Monday..............He's hoping to answer relevant/valid questions put to him by the end of next week. So if you have any more please submit them now
I have a relevant valid question about a prototype Ducati but will it get answered? Ducati confirmed it over the phone, but then wouldn't allow an email to be sent. Why? Can Tim help?
