When it comes to techie threads, there are some technical issues which have been exhaustively debated several times over in many threads, with everyone who has something to say having said it - repeatedly. Then somebody innocently posts a new query about the same old tech issue again. Are posters going to go through the whole thing once more? Probably not. So the poster gets no response to their query.
Yep, and the search seems to be non functional, don't know why. It is easier to find something relevant on the Forum when searching Google!
The search function in the forum is not very effective and it's difficult to use. It seems to miss obvious results, so finding old threads is not as easy as it might be. I wonder why this is? @Rob
Search facilities on forums tend to be useless, google is a better option. I'm a member of a forum where voting on a pole automatically used to take you to a random old thread, often one that was nearly ten years old. With predictably hilarious results.
Bring back the bad boys and ban the ninny moaning bunch. Encourage more in depth technical threads and be honest to the banter boys - ie feck off you have no knowledge. Allow abuse of people for their political opinions -this forum should not be a safe place.

Maybe it there is a niche for a tech based Ducati forum to cater for those with a less sensitive disposition. I was banned without notice and still havent had an explanation. Ican only sumise that it was on the farcical ask tim thread. Where you get to ask some question to some random bloke who has no influence to me as a Ducati lover. Hell, my bin man has more affect on my life than some shirt sat at desk in Northampton. I guess it wont be long before the big sell off. At least Ducatisti Dan had the good grace to take his football home with him. I used to help best I could on tech q's done maching for free and gave parts away for free. No more though. I've met good blokes on here and they know that I will help them still. They know how to contact me. This will be my last post on this forum. There isn't anything left here that I want to be a part of. Cheers to those who made it good fun. Things ain't what they used to be. Andy
