So what have you done today..?

  1. I went pseudo Xmas shopping in the town 12 minutes away.
It's odd, but I never really go there much, as it is "facing the wrong way", having lived in Lausanne. So I went around Yverdon like a tourist. It is very attractive, full of great buildings and load of little shops selling amazing things to eat and drink, as well as all sorts of boutiques. I don't really ever go shopping, but this was fun, even if I didn't buy a great deal (wasn't really planning to). A very festive afternoon. Now about to eat a tomato fondue.

To do this, make a normal fondue (50% gruyère, 50% vacherin fribourgeois, if you can find it). Get that bubbling with some home made tomato sauce (just use whole tomatoes for this if you haven't already made some in Blue Peter fashion). You boil some potatoes and eat the fondue ladelled over the potatoes. So you don't need a fondue set, if you don't have one. This is the total business. I think I prefer it to classic fondue even if it is slightlightly less convivial. Brilliant hearty fare (and heart-clogging, no doubt).

  2. Slightly similar in style to Skagen - ever looked at those? Swedish watch brand I think ( or maybe Danish )

  4. Today I went to see Huddersfield Town play Bristol City on a freebie (invited there by the club).

    Good job I didn't pay :)

  5. I already wear that exact watch on a daily basis havng fallen for it 2 years ago. I am told that Bering and Skagen share a designer which when you put the watches side by side, I have to say, they do look as though they share DNA. Andy

  6. I like the first one :)

  7. It was the first thought that entered my mind when I saw your new picture-who plagiarised who. But you've answer that,no one!

  19. Front end back together with fresh fork oil and have polished the forks as paint was peeling. Not perfect but looking lots better.

Need some new front pads but will take her for a shake down next dry day first. Nice to get 3 hours in the garage as time has been short recently.

New chain and sprockets to go on and a polish of swing arm and a bit of spraying and I'm ready for my first track day [emoji2]

  20. This morning we went to Xscape at Castleford so SWMBO could buy me some new Oakley Prizm Snowboard Goggles for my birthday (which was a week ago). I know the MD of TSA so in Huddersfield so I could registe I got a nice discount from the RRP. Which was nice :)

After that we went to the new leisure centre in Huddersfield so I could register for a Kirklees Active Leisure card which will give me discounts when I use the centre's swimming pool and the climbing wall. And as we were there we also went swimming for an hour or so :upyeah:

This afternoon I have been less than active and have had a snooze and done a bit of work and watched TV.

Tomorrow we are going to a funeral in Leicester :(
