  1. Picking up my new 1299 commuting weapon tomorrow!

Got some graphics on her and akros. Perfect for car drivers with their xmas party hangovers this week.

Tomorrow night will mostly be spent waxing and ACFing her for winter use.

  6. Mate, get some venture shield on it straight away!! Looks lovely, but soooo easily chipped, then your going to be gutted!! No good doing it after the first couple of stone chips - believe me I know :disrelieved:

  7. Looks great Stu,:sunglasses: by the way the Termis sound awesome, thanks

  8. I sure am they're fine they really are. The electronics and being sensible with throttle will keep things right.

  9. I got the graphics instead of venture shield as I looked at some 3/4 year old bikes with venture shield and wasn't overly impressed at how it ages. And advice of dealer. The graphics are covering all the parts that got marks, swirls or stone chips on my 899. I can imagine changing it in about 18 months for a different look.

  10. Looks great disco , thinking about doing the same , got full venture shield on now but looking at bit shabby after its first season so planing on decals with venture shield over the top , had it on my 1199 .
Your brave for wanting to use it throughout the salty winter roads mate , would put some metzeler m7rr's on Scorsa's will be shite on cold greasy roads

  11. My brother in law is giving me an 1989 gsx600g or as its commonly known the 2015 gsx600 [emoji12]. Once I get it sorted with new fork seals and few other bits going to get it tax and mot then use it for the worst days. If it's not particularly icy or damp I'll take the 1299.
Hoping to get is sorted after xmas. I've no qualms about using the 1299 at all. In fact I'll feel bad paying out for it and leaving it sat in garage for a few days.

  12. Looks great. Enjoy!

You are a brave man using it to commute in the middle of winter mind. I reckon you can always tell a bike that's been used through a british winter.

  13. Congrats, looks great! Glad you're going to be making the most of it :upyeah:

  14. Be

  17. Those Akras look amaze-balls.

How much checking do you do when picking up as a new bike? Just the obvious (paint finish, serial numbers) or do you go at it in more detail?

  18. I look over the bike to see i'm happy with it. I already did this a week or so ago.

I don't check serial numbers as i'm assuming main franchise dealers aren't selling brand new knock offs.
