Congrats! I'm very jealous. How many miles for engine run in before you start pushing it and getting points?
I wish that I could afford to, but it costs so much so I don't think I will ever travel outside of NZ again, when you live in the best country in the world, who needs to eh?!
Let me just join the queue of people blowing smoke up your arse :biggrin: I love my bike, but would be over the moon the have one of these sitting in my house Im sure you deserve it and you'll 'll enjoy it as much as we all think you will. An amazing peice of kit, truely amazing. One day, one day
Congratulations Dave, glad you've finally got her home. Keep the pics and videos coming so we can all enjoy a little bit of the pleasure she's obviously giving you!
I'm racing with ng tomorrow. I'll come and have a look at her. I'm riding in the sound of thunder on the white and orange rc8 #17. Bright orange gazebo and a blue transporter. Pop in for a brew.
Manual says keep it to 6,000 rpm for the first 600 miles, then 7,000 rpm till you reach 1,500 miles. There are secondhand bikes out there for sale that haven't done that distance I struggled to keep my license with the SPS - I think this could be even more of a challenge
I've only been to Thruxton for BSB and there they make you park in a field - hopefully that won't be the case on Saturday. Have you by any chance got a spare paddock pass so I can get her in there?
Nah, Johnny Hackett to me after my first service there give it another 50-100 miles to let the fresh oil get around then give it the berries
Ive never been before but I'm heading down later to set up. I've been given a pass for my van but that's all at the minute. I'll ask but don't hold your breath. It's a busy meeting as thruxton doesn't come up very often for bikes. I'll pm you if I manage to get one.
Good luck mate! Having a motogp bike under your arse is some responsibility! I have problems behaving on something as small as the 749! Ride hard but ride safe mate
