Exercise some caution here? You wouldn't want to host a sweety shop for wannabe owners? Choose make model and location?
Mine says Berkhamsted. I'm not sure how many garages there are in Berkhamsted but I'd imagine the police would start to take notice if every garage in the town was being broken into looking for my 996. I'd advise against putting your actual address, but I can't see putting your town being an issue.
Example, according to the map @749si keeps his bike at Darley Dene Infants School, Addlestone, Surrey, United Kingdom. @749si, I only picked you out as I used to live in New Haw and then Weybridge for a bit. If you do keep your bike in an infants school, I apologise for informing the world wide web.
Just a note of caution, nothing more. The more you put into the interweb the more the data aggregators have to store and sell. Plenty of public domain information on 192.com alone to match names (from all sources including common use of user names on facebook, forums etc) with exact locations.
I was there very late 90's for 2 or 3 years. I still remember the first time I went to the Tesco there and you drive through part of the old Brooklands banked track. I was so shocked they could do that to such history. Girlfriend at the time, which was why I moved there, just shrugged her shoulders "meh".
You are possibly right and I'd hate to have anyone lose their pride and joy due to this map/thread. But, it's possible to worry to much about such things. I do Appreciate your point though.
Totally agree re: Brooklands, A real irony that Mercedes are there now considering the wartime bombings. I worked at 2 specialist car companies within the site 25 years ago, one formerly used by Hawker but not a trace now.
