1199 Cancelling Indicator

  1. I have a habit of pressing the indicator cancel button every now and then or pressing it twice instead I missed it first time but with the panigale it brings up the rider mode on the screen and it's really annoying! Anyone else have this issue?!

  2. I do it the odd time but it doesn't annoy me as I'm never looking at the screen.
Change gear it resets the dash out of mode select screen I believe. Although I may have just dreamt that as I'm off my tits on beechams flu plus.

  3. Yeah I remember baron moaning about that, it doesn't on the 899, just brings up the little menu but doesn't change anything like speedo etc. I do spam the indicator button sometimes though

  4. Yep, it's one of the things I dislike on my 1299. In the group that I ride with when abroad, there is a rule that says that if anyone leaves an indicator on for longer than necessary, they have to buy the first round of drinks in the evening. To avoid the ignominy, I have got into the habit of pressing the cancel at least twice after each junction. I am getting used to seeing that pesky menu, and waiting 10 seconds for it to go away...

On my old RSV4, the mode selector was on the engine start button, a button that you rarely if ever press by mistake.

  5. Yeah I agree the rsv4 setup was a lot more clever!

  6. yes they all do it after 100 times you will remember not to double cancel, load of bollox really should be better design,

  7. I made progress today and didn't double cancel once! But think I just indicated less!!

  8. At least four times today, but only one false neutral. Stalled it three times pulling away from various traffic lights. Oh how the drivers behind laughed!

Progress of sorts I suppose. My exhausts seemed noticeably louder today...
