1200 DVT She's Here!

I picked up my new bike today, a '16 standard DVT with touring pack.

What a day to choose to do a 220 mile round trip though! A 110 mile wind tunnel experience on the way down, and 110 miles of rain on the way back.

Well chuffed with my new beast. First experience of heated grips. Hubba! Hubba!

Obviously took it easy whilst running in, but the engine already feels great and I can't wait to start opening it up.

I was unsure about the std suspension, but shouldn't have been. It feels great.

Got a Navihalter on order and a 42T rear sprocket - and that's about it for now.

Only disappointment is the fact the wife flatly refuses to let me wrap it up and put it in the lounge Xmas eve, so I can unwrap it Xmas day.

 

I know! She's trying to claim i'm being unreasonable by asking! I sometimes question her commitment to my biking.

 

Need to clean her up first. Gives me a good excuse.

I may not be able to get out on the bike yet, but thanks to @AndyPandyP i can use my Ducati ice tray to put DUCATI ice into people's drinks, so I can still get my Ducati fix for the day.
