This mornings ride was interesting. 3 cars crushed beyond repair before me when a huge tree came down. No serious injuries, only a cut hand from one driver. Ended up directing traffic away until the Police took over. Happened on B2133 btwn Loxwood & Wisborough Green.
Got taken out for lunch today at the Wisborough ( formally Bat& Bull) and wondered why the road had been blocked by the police. When we departed the road had been opened up again, noticed some recent freshly cut trees.those drivers were unlucky to have been hit, but fortunate not to have been badly hurt.
That's a road I've used from time to time. I'll look out for sneaky lumberjacks in future. Glad no one was seriously injured.
If I'd known you were inside I'd have said hello John. As it was I'd been told there was a classic car meeting there today so that's why I was in the area.

Anyone contemplating a quick blast to Whiteway's - I wouldn't bother. A29 Road closed due to car driver having heart attack. Couple of sports bikes down on the Rykas slip road too I hear. Be careful out there!
as @RickyX said, it's all happening dahn in Sussex - take extra care Stuart :smileys:. I am off the road now due to rear ignition pick-up failing on Elefant yesterday evening. That's the first breakdown that wasn't my fault in 5 years of riding through all winters, bike left outside with no cover on - the 'old girl' owes me nothing.
