1200 DVT Boxing Day Ride & Wheel Decals

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Steve m, Dec 26, 2015.

  1. Forecast looking dry ( a dizzy 13 degrees too ! )at least for the day & no salt on the roads, so I'm going to ignore the remnants of the man flu & straddle my Dvt to add another few miles to the 130 already clocked up
Looking for some opinions on the wheel decals !? , yes, I've only put them on the one side of one wheel at the moment, as I'm really not sure wether I like them or not...

  2. I think they look fine, wheel stripes are cheap enough to change your mind about every 6 months so i'd just roll with them.

If anything, and i am nit picking here, I think they would look better without the Italian flag, maybe just get them to send a couple more red blocks, one the size of the flag and another half the size of that to carry on the stripe another 30mm

  3. The wheel decals look great, ideally suited to a nine-year old boy wanting to brighten up his pushbike. For a grown-up ... well, not so much.

  4. Make the most of it Mr, up here most of the roads are under water or washed away.

  5. You think they look great ??
Does it matter then if I'm 9 or 49 ??
Yr smart arse comment doesn't really make any sense ..you .must try harder next time ; )

  6. You asked for opinions, and you said you weren't sure whether you liked them or not. So I gave you an opinion, which you refer to as a "smart arse comment". Well at least you didn't say "dumb arse", so I'll take that as a compliment.

  7. Like your bike [emoji106]

    Decals not for me [emoji107]

  8. I'm going through the same thing...got out on mine today, had the full sticker kit on and now broken down a bit, can't decide whether it looks good or Halfords!!!! image.jpeg

  9. I'd say it looks a bit Halfords, to be honest.

There are better ways to bling up the bike. Just don't ask me what they are - I haven't figured it out myself yet. :)

  10. Same here, like the bike but not to keen on the sticker's, but on the other hand I'm an old fart.

  11. They came on my bike as standard? I hope they don't look to Halfords?
I think yours look ok @Steve m but then I'm no style guru

  12. Those ones look nice.

  13. Are you going to take the fork reflectors off? I'm thinking of removing mine.

I think the rim tapes look Ok, but prefer the plain red ones.

I like the red wheel nut covers.

  14. Standard on the PP, so you could say factory look.

  15. Off topic (sorry) but the rear pegs are black not standard silver - what's the story?

On the decals front I think they look ok if they are simple/ plain red like on the pp.

I agree they make the black wheels a bit more interesting.

I escaped to Malta on Boxing Day. Nice and dry here :sunglasses:. Horrible pics in the news of the flooding. I hope everyone survives ok.

  17. PP has black as standard, only problem is when you fit a full Termi system the hanger is silver,so its upto the owner to have it coated black.

  18. Good to know - I'll have to do the same when I take the plunge on a termi

  19. Stick with decals....they look great.
