Yeah,I saw that but my 749 was leak free! That is where the damp course failed and it just wiped off after a bit of cillit bang mould spray.Have just bought a proper dehumidifier (was£350 reduced to £199!) so all sorted now - well that's until the Vincent goes in that spot and it will probably look like an oil tanker has capsized!!!
Can't afford carpet down south! Nasty B n Q wood flooring I'm afraid.just had a thought though - I pulled the Honda 750 V Twin out of my chopper last week and left it on a bit of cardboard in that exact spot until girlfriend started moaning. She said "I suppose an engine in the lounge is better than a whole motorcycle? - thank god you've moved that Ducati out and we've got some room now".Little bit of a shock coming I think???
After crossing town twice to give my brother a lift to work I fixed the rear wiper, seized spindle through the glass of the tailgate, knocking that out was a touch nerve racking but it's done now and packed with ACF grease. Then my attention turned to the bike, the chain oiler's connection to one of the power points was rushed when I was cold and knackered so today I chopped the spade connectors off and crimped new ones on then added solder, I was going to wash it but it's getting damp and dark already so it can wait.
All back together, not finished but good enough for now. Having a bit of trouble tracking down the black paint as it is a German import and its metallic where as the UK bikes weren't. Comes up quite nice for an old girl. If it's ok tomorrow I'll tax her and go for a spin to Ace Cafe.
I've just got back from a call out to replace a broken window pane at a local pub, a young lad took offence at being thrown out last night. Steve
Cried off going for a ride, started winter clean up of 996. Glad I have as spotted clutch reservoir is weaping. That's the first job then.
We've been to an "outdoor" store to buy some gear. SWMBO bought some weatherproof trousers for walking in, and I bought some climbing shoes. I'm now wearing them in cos they are tight as buggery (which climbing shoes are meant to be but I'm trying to make them a tad more comfortable). I've also just eaten half a box of specialist chocolates whilst SWMBO is watching Downton Abbey. I can't decide which is making me feel sick
Decided to fight the crowds in a search for a WD Passport 1Tb portable hard drive to reorganise several years of accumulated digital media or as some would say, crap. Had a phone call on the way back asking for me to get a bag of potatoes and an offer of cold meats, pickles and mashed potato for lunch ...... mmmm. Just slobbing now whilst that digests before thinking about tea. Andy
The GS tractor was looking sorry for itself. 4k miles of dirt. Coating of ACF and looking ready for more dirty. Why are chains such a pain to clean
Don't be a tight arse, but buy more storage....you can never have too much...err...umm.....Digital Media..:Hilarious:
Went out for a coffee with my girl and friend from work to get some fresh air and then took little mini out for a run Lusted after this in the car park Mmmmm
Hahaha - BSA's deffo know how to drop a bit of oil - how often does he have to empty the tray? What seems a lifetime a go I had a Royal Enfield Continental GT which threw oil out quicker than you could put it in! My mates who all had Rice Burned called it the Royal Oilfield
