  1. Good mate ta.

I know what your saying, but its all so personal isnt it. I think the new monsters great.
Problem is, if you get used to, and love what you own, everything new looks pants.
It like some, you like to change every 12 or 24 months, then only the newest, bestest will do.
Good case in hand is the 1299 over the 1199. I prefer my 1199. Most, or some may prefer the 1299, but its not for me.
Besides, you already have one of the best Ducatis :upyeah:

  2. Ah, interesting. Don't get me wrong I'd quite fancy an 1199 for the track especially if the nutsack issue could be sorted (which would most likely involve gaffa and some sponge). Still a bit pricey though. A Cat D would do though.

  3. This would have looked sooooo much better as a #nutscape!

  4. Spoke to large chap on Ducati (no name badge) stand on Sunday who was reluctant to say the 959 belly pan zorst are road legal! Does come with a different belly pan though. Standard one won't take underslung units. Maybe Ducati are going back to underseat pipes for 2017 Euro 4 sport models?
For Bim fans out there. a pic.

  5. I like that but I'd probably have to sell my house to buy it...

  6. I think underseat exhausts are a thing of the past now. the heat generated in modern exhausts means it just would not work now.

  7. True but it's a packaging issue. Bigger cat, etc for Euro 4 compliance seems to mean side exhaust's a la 959 or stick the Silencer's some where else. Sleeve the silencers in a better heat shield material could be a way forward. It will be interesting to see how MV tackle their neat stacked 3 spout silencer.

  8. You already can, the new Brutale 800, the exhaust is significantly bigger. It who'll looks okay though, but it is a lot bigger

  9. big cat needed, plus mifflers.

  10. By modern exhausts would you include the 848,10&1198? An under seat exhaust could be construed as a 'design' retrograde step but it would still achieve a better clean line for the bike as viewed from the side.

  11. No i wouldn't. Bikes with Euro 4 will make more heat as they have to run leaner.

  13. That is absolutely SUPERB. BLOODY BRILL. if I had the advertising budget I'd run that on Dave every 2 hours.

  14. That is very funny :)

  15. Saw the 959 in the local dealer. Looks alright actually with the side exhaust... the exhaust is a bit cheap-looking though... that's the real crime!

  16. Has anyone actually ordered a 959 yet? It appears that everyone is buying up 899's.

  17. So are 899's going cheap because the 959 is on order? The 899 is the skinny sister. You want a lady, get an 959. Want a nutter, the big girl is waiting. Some make do with a scrambler, you thinking its tuff to get out of bed?

I don't get the pani, I like the old Ducati Evo. Could I ride the big girl? I could try, but I don't have what it takes, I'd love to be seen with her though.

  18. What do you mean "make do"? :D

On real roads the Scrambler is a blast, there's no making do! The only area that the Scrambler lets itself down is in the pressed metal detailing where you'd expect a bit more from Ducati, but then look at the 959 with its pressed tin exhaust and that's a £13k bike!

  19. On the Ducati scale, the Scrambler isnt a Ducati. I firmly believe Ducati should stick to building sports bikes, I'm just waiting on the Ducati trials bike.
Must agree that £13k with a need for immediate replacement cans is ridiculous. Blame the tree hugging doomsday walkers for that one.

  20. Hey fella, they don't all hug, some just caress :)
