So how does that reflect on his reputation ? Is it realistic to expect his BSB team sponsors to withdraw their money ? That would put a huge spanner in the works. Andy
Does like a party then Mr Bird ! I like that they call him a athlete I've seen him and like me he ain't one .
Hahaha - must have been shit gear or he would have been a lot quicker! Maybe Coke will agree to sponsor him?
It also brings a new light to the fact one of his race trucks was seized with drugs in it a few years ago, the driver took the hit for that. "Just saying like". Superbike team lorries 'found to contain drugs' - Telegraph
Reading the full story on this, I doubt the driver could really afford the money for this amount of drugs, so there's deffo more to this story and the money men probably gave his family two options, the later one being [emoji379]
a travelling circus like a race series would provide excellent means to smuggle all sorts of stuff just ask a certain sound system company owned by a very well known english prog rock band (and freinds of Howard Marks)
My mind shot back to exactly that episode, and the team insistence that it was just a rogue individual.
Quite a few years ago I bought a Porsche 911 CS Lightweight- a limited production run road/race lightweight in white that was owned by Vick Lee Racing - a lovely fella who ran BMW M3 Race cars for the likes of Mike Smith the DJ and were better and more successful on the European circuit than the official BMW factory team.Vick got nicked for importation of Charlie which was concealed in hollowed out sleeves in Oxy/Acce gas bottles.Vick Lee had honour and went down for the whole thing! Think he got 15/20 years!
I just checked and he actually got caught twice for same thing and got sentenced to 12 years on each occasion! He is now the MD of Corbau race seats - everybody deserves a chance and good luck to him!
Yeh, that's what the family and friends of the smackheads he supplied who would do anything to get money to pay for their habit that people like him supplied at great profit. Good luck to him he's obviously a man with high standards, thank god I'm a Reccaro man.
Haven't got a clue what's what in the narcotics worlds (we don't have that sort of stuff in Berkshire) but seeing as both are illegal I can't see any difference.
I think the difference is that it's designed as a feel good confidence drug which is prob why it's still used so much, where as I doubt a heroin user could function in society at all!! Either way I agree that they are both dirty horrible drugs!! But with regards to birdy, I just hope they re-investigate that case from two years ago and see what really happened!
If you are in the business of trading in nasty stuff, surely it is bad policy to start consuming your own stock-in-trade. Is that where Mr Bird has got it wrong?
