I note that the 2016 MotoGiro d'Italia is scheduled for 18 to 25 June, starting and finishing at Terni (which is north of Rome) and heading up to Ljubljana (in Slovenia) and back. This only a few days before the WDW weekend at Misano. So I am contemplating taking a look at the Giro first, then a few days in Rome/Siena/Florence, and calling in at the WDW for one day (not all three days) before heading back home via the Alps. May be interested in your routes, you plan them so well, and my missus is now ready for something of a tour.
I haven't decided what Alpine passes to take in each direction yet, but I was hoping to try some I have not yet ridden. Maybe the Simplon one way and the Plocken the other way. I also hope to fit in a visit to La Rotonda (near Vicenza), perhaps Palladio's finest work. We could form a club for this. We all pay a subscription and then a few selected members could go off the the event. Although we wouldn't all realise that this is what would happen. How's that sound?
