Hi all,does anyone use their monster 821 as a daily ride in all weathers? If so hows the reliability been have you had any issues (eg excessive splashing etc) would really love to hear about your experiences.
Hi yer , well I've used my 1200 in heavy rain ! it was pi**ing it down, the next week the indicators did'nt work then kept blowing lamps. Turns out the indicator housings don't have any type of seal in them so water just gets in,turning all the contacts a nice shade of green and blue. How's that for feed back I'll just say I love my 1200 to bits .
Only had mine 2 weeks and today it took an age to start? It's a 2015 done 3600 miles, just kept turning over for about 15 attempts then I turned power on/off and it fired, it was cold and it had stood a few days but I wasn't impressed, see what dealer says tomorrow. Do love the bike though, lovely ride, sound.
Hi, been using mine daily for a year now and had both the indicator and the not starting issue once or twice but pretty much hasn't missed at beat in any weather. I found the knack with the not starting is to leave it for a minute or two if it doesn't catch, if you keep trying it just gets stubborn and I have had the engine warning light pop up when I tried to "force" it to start.
I have an 821 stripe and use it most days unless i have a load of crap to carry then I take the car. Never had any problems, starts first time every time and everything works. Nice easy bike to ride through traffic and have use the ABS and traction control a couple of times in the wet so a nice feature to have.
