Anyone owned or ridden a GSR600? I've been offered one in px for the Triumph (and a big wedge of cash or the deal's off). All I know about them is they're pug ugly and have iffy fuelling...
I had one for a couple of months-I didn't take to it.The fuelling,as you pointed out,was not very nice.Pick up after a roll off the throttle was very jerky and not very nice.I believe there was a fix for this.I part exchanged it for a Ducati GT1000 Tourer, much nicer.
The fix is a 9 cubic yard skip.................................put it straight in there and the crap handling, shite fuelling and daft cock looks you get all go away.
Dunno if I'm ready for thrashing the nuts off a bike, I've had big bikes (and big twins in particular) for years. Having said that I've not really ridden any 600s, and I may well enjoy it. I like the idea of something light and flickable to play on, and by all accounts the GSR is a quick bike. Dunno really, depends on the cash offer I guess.
Id is go for a street triple, lots of good write ups about them, or maybe go down the classic route if you don't want to thrash the bikes. Mind u I had a hayabusa once and rode it at all the correct speed limits....why because if I wanted to I could go faster than any other car/ bike. It's not what you got it's how u ride it and how much you use your head.
Didn't mean to offend you. Like I said before what triumph you got and why have u been offered a gsr600. Sorry
Get a Honda Bentley, noooooooo only joking. How's about you list what bikes you want and ask the forum to all vote what you should have. That way we can start a new thread and you can get some good responses...when you mean chuckle do you mean a bike that makes you smile like a mad man....all 600'sneed thrashing, what about a gsxr 750 or a z1000
Mate used a gixer 750 new style after his 1198sp gave up again....altho after a few sessions he found it ok he just thought it was totally gutless. Can only imagine an old 600 would be worse. Should have got the R1
Okay, here's the list of bikes I want: Desmosedici Panigale Britten V1000 S1000RR Now, do you want a list of bikes that I can afford or fit on..? The problem is I ain't got no money. So I've got to sell or swap the Triumph. It's up for sale, but I've invited swap offers, and so far I've been offered an R1 (owner changed his mind), a Buell XB9R (I turned it down, not as mint as it was made out to be) and the GSR and cash. And the trouble is if I sold the Triumph for cash I still don't have a clue what to buy next. You need to know me, really. I swap bikes as often as young lovers swap saliva; there's so many great bikes around and only a certain amount of time to try them, so I change often. I've had the Triumph a year and punted it across Europe twice, but it hasn't really grown on me, so it's time to sell.
I didn't have a choice with the R1, the owner used it as a deposit on a new bike. And I know the 600 would be gutless, but it's got a useful top end, and I've still got the fuglystrada for grunting duties.
Seen your pics of your bikes, don't go for a 600 you will dissapointed and change it straight away....still think a Z1000 or maybe a Tuono now that's a nice bike.
How about a thunderace? Been looking at some myself, 1500 can get you a detuned, but not by a lot, R1 wih comfort and fun in one
Ridden a Tuono, didn't like it, no legroom. Z1000 I'd go for but it looks a bit heavy for a naked. Thunderace looks gopping, never liked 'em.
Z1000 very light to handle, had one and wheelies every wear but no top end, swapped it for a zx10r 04 model. That was mental and fun......last attempt a fazed 1000 new model. Took one out for a test ride and had to say no as I'd loose my lose license on it.
Mannnn you r mental, ha ha you make me smile and laugh.....I'm struggling here....got to be a hayabusa then
