I think you can blame EU bureaucrats for the dip and it can be mapped out, or at least improved, but at a cost - though that's no excuse for Ducati publishing misleading graphs. I'm sure Chris at CJS told me when I was contemplating buying a Multi that he couldn't get as much power out of the twin spark engine as the old single plugger.
Ohh I am sorry, if I am not mistaken more than half of the petrol little price is tax, and in German motorways there are no speed limits because the road is perfectly engineered to support high speeds. Also check what other taxes you are paying for the use of your vehicle through insurance, registration and any other taxes direct or indirect.
Hi fatfingers, other than the wheelies, does the 14T sprocket affect any of the computer thingies on the bike such as speed readings etc? Cheers Jim
Don't get technical with me No the speed is taken from the wheel sensor on these. I had to change either wheelie or traction control setting in sport mode. Can't remember which now. The extra drive was causing it to kick in.
You might inadvertently wind the throttle open further than you intended, in which case you might be glad not be dumped on your arse. When I say "you", I mean "me", obviously. Though anybody can make a mistake.
1st gear can be be a bit lively but don't spend much time thrashing about in there. 2nd is far more predictable, not much chance of coming off the back unless you hold on to it wide open. 3rd rarely comes up, unless the road drops off. Just don't get it, I love riding my Multi but you have to be really ham fisted for it to catch you out I think.
