Crazy. A 916 Biposto with 14k on it. Good luck with that, although I like his bike cover modification to allow the exhausts to poke through
Just spotted this on e bay! It's got a week or so to run and needs front forks but for anyone with the skill and time to build - you will have a great machine or a big profit when you are done!!!
It is but i still like this also a very very rare bike 2004 (53) Ducati 999R Fila Edition (Very Very Rare).Only 4400miles.
With a bit of "research" and find out the real story I ca smell a fair bit of profit in the old girl? There's a big market emerging for unmolested/unrestored Brit classics
My Vincent that I've just picked up was registered by the UK dealer new and then only 2 more owners (both in Holland) since.Has never seen a dealers workshop but has a history file written up by the two old school engineers that reads like "war and peace"! I fully intended doing my own nut and bolt resto but the more I look at her and see over restored museum pieces that will never be ridden or enjoyed - it's staying as I found it apart from some essential safety items and recovering the well worn seat! And I might even leave that?
I know it shouldn't be all about the money? But having been a car trader for over 40 years smelling a profit becomes almost spooky? That Ariel if presented and marketed correctly will realise between £11000 and £15000! Obviously it's got a while to run on e bay and 99% of the bidding happens in last 10 seconds or so but there is deffo still money to make out there! I sold a lovely but not mint by any means BSA A65 1962 on e bay and it was really struggling at £2350 with 10 mins to run - it went mental and made £3970!
Don't see many of these around (even though there are two on eBay ) DUCATI 1198S CORSE SE (RARE, EXPENSIVE OPTIONS) 2010 60 REG | eBay
nice oldie - another for the pension fund ? Ducati 239 Classic bike - Cafe Racer - Stunning machine | eBay
It seems that if you stick any old rice burner on e bay that has a set of ace bars or clipons,a homemade "race seat" and rear sets made from old coat hangers and call it a cafe racer its job done? They are either shed builds for upto £2500 or prof custom shop builds for £10,000! Where are all the self build home engineered cafe racers?
