Nothing to do with me but @ £1400 these have got to be a bargain. Blade @ reading have 2 full termi kits. Ducati Multistrada 2015/2016 Complete Racing Termignoni Exhaust BNIB UK Dealer | eBay
I did see this on eBay, it says it comes supplied with the map key , but isn't this something a dealership would need to fit ? Not quite sure how it works
That's a good price, the upmap key is just a USB plug in device that you need to give to the dealer so they can update the ECU on the bike, he will then give you the upmap back with the normal software installed and the bike will have the performance map installed. I fitted my Termi, myself in about 2.5 hours and had Duc Cov do the upmap thingy.
Thanks for the reply JimVee Quite a job then, to take 2.5 hours ? What sort of labour rate did they charge ? Is yours a Dvt model ?
Hi Steve, I did it myself and I was ultra careful, I reckon I could fit one now in 1.5 hours. They did my upmap FOC as I have had bought a couple of bikes from them and yes a DVT.
Don't want to be overly pedantic, but that's not quite correct. It's not a USB device - it's got different connections. You're right that It needs to go to a dealer who'll take the upmap key, the bike and his Ducati computer thing, and load the new map into the ECU then give you the key back. I wouldn't want anyone thinking that they can load the new map themselves.
I'm very tempted to purchase the Termi exhaust & fit it once I've completed the run in ( aprox 250 miles to go ) I did contact the dealer selling the exhaust earlier, but was unable to speak to the parts dept & didn't get the call back I was promised How does the exhaust / map change the power characteristics over standard JimVee? Is it like thunder with the baffle removed ? I know I want the moon on a stick, but would it be at all possible for you to upload a you tube video ?
Tbh I would have jumped at that deal, but wifey brought me this for Crimbo Silly cow paid full retail.
No disrespect but these pipes look bloody horrible imho and spoil the lines of the bike. Each to their own I guess!
I do agree the stock looks better that's for sure, but the termi makes the bike feel more urgent and sounds lovely, I thought without the baffle it would be too loud but it's not, it's just right.
After a couple of days you get used to the looks and I think it makes the bike look very purposeful, especially with the bulky ugly cat removed. It all looks a bit more trick and exotic. But...I would have preferred if they'd done a double stubby.
This is a difficult one for me. I've always loved termis on Ducatis. They're literally made for each other. BUT, this time, for the expense of them, you don't seem to get better looks, or better output. I think this will be even more exaggerated since the recent std map update, won't it? Even at the bargain price being offered here, I'm struggling to convince myself they're worth the outlay. I guess I'm saying, in my heart I want one, but can't justify it to myself - let alone the Purchasing Dept. @Steve m - I need some tips on how you've managed to justify it to yourself.
It's a tricky one, I'm not fussed on the look of the long Termignoni silencer at all, much prefer the look of the standard exhaust or the stubby Carbon Termi is quite pleasing to the eye For me the carbon Akrapovic is by far the best looking can available for the multi, cal sport Uk have header pipes listed to mate up to the can, but what's the use with no map available at the moment !? I just love the sound of that Termi, but I'm struggling with the aesthetics of it.
Im afraid I agree, its not a looker for sure, but I have heard them and they do sound nice But im afraid I would need both for that money...?
Fair comments for sure. I thought it was ugly until I got a tax rebate which paid for it. Now I think it's gorgeous
Expensive but fun as long as you can keep biking - my latest nipper of 6 months sits on the tank now and then but I take my oldest lad out regularly on the back
I've told her I'll think about it ! It's my birthday soon and she has taken note of a 918 spyder I keep looking at but can't afford it, so here's hoping [emoji6]
