As the Ducati Brand has been infiltrated by this strange new breed more than any I thought this a good place for a serious question on the matter. We have a lad at work who thinks he isn't a hipster, but it is confusing for him as when he looks in the mirror he does seem to see one staring back. Can we put it to a poll so he can know one way or the other (he even has a big Eagle on his belt buckle FFS!)
The defining feature of a Hipster is a manly masculine beard attached to a person with no manly sex appeal at all. The adverts use 'sexy' people whilst the reality is skinny legs, pot belly and never done physical activity because Mum wouldn't let them play outside. The latest offshoot is wannable surfer/skateboarders who actually just clog up the lineup in the surf because they are just floating around, and don't actually skateboard because it hurts too much. Based on these criteria your candidate is some other strange entity!
That said whilst I like the more extreme bikes, I like the whole Scrambler thing as it makes motorbikes more accessible to the masses which has to be better than cars. I just dont like the whole wannabe cool thing that comes with the hipster advertising.
