@Wally can you pm me a pic/s please? And if you can let me know what the postage cost might be that'd be great
Just driven back from the land of windmills and hydroponics in the old sprinter - she made it just! - could deff detect an oil/antifreeze smell that was getting stronger the last couple of hundred miles? The poor old girl has now clocked over 250,000 miles and for the first couple of years of her life she had the indignity of being an F1 "white van man" for a well known courier firm so she ain't done bad? Will get MARIUS- my fix anything with a pair of molegrips and a bit of baling wire Polski mechanic to have a look and then I will make the keep it or move it on decision.Hope its a cheap easy fix cos she is like an old pair of brogues and I would miss her
Val D'Isere. I've heard they opened the mountain biking trails in Morzine last week :/ Might be different now though, it's been snowing steadily for a couple of days. Yesterday morning was exceptional, dropped 4 inches every hour until 3pm but then it got a bit wetter. Before that though, wow, powder everywhere. The snow is a bit damp today and nursing a huge hangover so going for a walk instead. Hot wine required.
Woken up at 5am with cramp in both calfs. That was fun. Jumping round the bedroom getting 0 sympathy.
It's been a good day in Lightning_650 Land... Nailed a Bluetooth stereo with built in hands-free into my old Land Rover Discovery. (too many Old Bill in Letsby Avenue...) Informed the boys that their money was going up from next Monday. All smiles from them and a nice warm feeling for me. Picked up my oldest truck from the fitters: it was in for six weekly inspection and only cost me a courtesy light switch and the labour charge...result! Got back to the workshop early so the fitter said bring the old Disco into the shed and we'll replace the injector loom,(common fault-causes misfires),and so now I have all the cylinders, all the time. Like I said,a good day.
Finally finished stripping my LOWRIDER Honda VT750 powered hardtail Chop down today.Always disliked the shaft drive setup which restricts rear wheel width and can't locate a decent British bike engine that I fancy so bidding on a Harley (yes,I hate them too!) lump from the States that sounds good value and well sorted - if as described? But guy has 100% good feedback and plenty of previous deals so should be ok I hope. Then it's chain drive and wide rear wheel and tyre as it will take? As you can see it's currently running bid spacers so should look good? Then new paint scheme when I know it's all gonna work and ride good
Good! Didn't mean to come across rude but I do a few classic car sales and can't deal with these "anal" park it on a sheet of polished alloy brigade! Lovely lovely machine that deserves the trophy
I know what you mean, you see some guys with cars or bikes that are thousands of dollars, all chromed up with mirrors underneath to show everyone how spotless they are but no oil in the engines...so in retrospect they have hundreds of thousands invested for coffee tables! I completely agree with you...build it and ride or drive it, that's what it's meant for!
